Access your Google Voice account right from your iPhone.
Receive push notifications for new text or voicemail messages.

This is great news for every Google Voice user except Sean Kovacs, GV Mobile Creator.

The only missing feature that I noticed so far is the ability to login with few different Google Voice Accounts.

If you need to login with more than one account GV Mobile is your way to go.

GOOG-411 The voice-powered Directory Assistance Service is Shutting Down

Back in 2007 Google launched 1-800-GOOG-411, a voice-powered directory assistance service that connects you quickly to businesses across the U.S. and Canada.

On November 12, 2010, the service will shut down the service.

GOOG-411 was the first speech recognition service from Google and helped provide a foundation for more ambitious services now available on smartphones, such as:

  • Voice Search – search Google by speaking instead of typing.
  • Voice Input – fill in any text field on Android by speaking instead of typing.
  • Voice Actions – control your Android phone with voice commands. For example, you can call any business quickly and easily just by saying its name.

GV Mobile + By Sean Kovacs hit the iPhone App Store

After a year of being rejected by Apple, GV + Mobile gets approved again by The iPhone App Store team.

The App is great and well deserved $2.99.

If you are looking to make VOIP calls using the App this is not the right App for you, actually no App can do it yet, so just download this one to get All of Google Voice features on your iPhone without opening safari and fighting with the interface.

The developer, Sean Kovacs tweeted last night Apple Coupon codes for anyone to grab.

Follow @Seankovacs to get one, and if you didn’t make it in time before someone else used it just pay the $2.99 (less than Starbucks coffee).

A word about Sean Kovacs:

I don’t know Sean personally, but yesterday night (minutes after the App appeared in the App Store) I emailed him and even that he was busy answering users twits and generating coupons he answered in full to my concern.

It takes much longer to get an answer (and a good one) emailing Microsoft with an issue for $149 software.

Great job Sean.

Feature Suggestion For Google Voice

Google can be the best International calls provider if implementing Jajah Direct feature.

Jajah Direct gives you a local number for each of your contacts and call them directly.
You save the numbers to your phone and never dial access numbers again.

All you need is around 1000 Google Voice numbers that will be saved for that feature.

Then generate a local number for each one of the contacts.
Different users can have the same number for their contacts.
If a user calls this number from one of his listed phones the system recognize the caller id and redirect the number to the appropriate contact.
This way the other end sees the Google voice number as the caller ID.
